Social Justice is Theft

I stayed out of the Glenn Beck "social justice" imbroglio last month on the Napoleonic principle that one should never interrupt one's enemy when he is making a mistake. As Amy Sullivan pointed out in Time magazine's Swampland blog (click here), Beck outraged not just his usual Communist Extremist adversaries like Jim Wallis, but "Christians in most mainline Protestant denominations, African-American congregations, Hispanic churches, and Catholics--who first heard the term 'social justice' in papal encyclicals and have a little something in their tradition called 'Catholic social teaching.' (Not to mention the teaching of a certain fellow from Nazareth who was always blathering on about justice...)."Beck explained that it was all a matter of semantics, of how you define the term (click here):

The term "social justice" has been completely perverted and hijacked by progressives. It doesn't mean simply "help the poor" to them. It does to some people, but not to radical progressives.....Here's my definition of social justice: Forced redistribution of wealth with a hostility toward individual property rights, under the guise of charity and/or justice.

Beck, of course, would know about the perversion of words. "Progressivism" for example, as he noted in his CPAC keynote, is "the cancer in America and it is eating our Constitution. And it was designed to eat the Constitution. To progress past the Constitution."

It is big government – it’s a socialist utopia. And we need to address it as if it is a cancer. It must be cut out of the system because they cannot co-exist. And you don’t cure cancer by – well, I’m just going to give you a little bit of cancer. You must eradicate it. It cannot co-exist.

I have been engrossed in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion these last few weeks, so I can't help noticing that Beck's take on Progressivism jibes remarkably well with the Elders': it's not just a noxious philosophy; it's deliberately designed to fail. Progressivism is a sinister conspiracy, the Trojan Horse that will destroy the Republic.Here's the Elder:

We appear on the scene as alleged saviours of the worker from this oppression when we propose to him to enter the ranks of our fighting forces - Socialists, Anarchists, Communists - to whom we always give support in accordance with an alleged brotherly rule (of the solidarity of all humanity) of our SOCIAL MASONRY.The aristocracy, which enjoyed by law the labor of the workers, was interested in seeing that the workers were well fed, healthy, and strong. On an earlier episode of this show I described progressives as vampires. I stand by it. The progressive movement is sucking the blood out of each of the parties. This is their opportunity to finally win and progressives will, admittedly, do anything to win. They'll lie, cheat, steal. Do you really think you can pull them off your neck with a ballot box? You must drive a stake through the heart of this movement.

I don't know if Glenn Beck is an anti-Semite or not, but the Jews have often been compared to vampires, perhaps most famously in Benjamin Franklin's supposed prophecy (a fraud dating back to the mid-1930s, which was first published in the pro-Nazi magazine Liberation).

There is a great danger for the United State of America. This great danger is the Jew.
