Looking ahead

I suppose it's the algorithms that are to blame and not any global trends, but if you were an anthropologist from Mars and you read my Twitter feed, you would think that the most burning issues before us are 1) Whether Bernie is denied his rightful victory in the primaries, 2) Biden, with a 27-year-old sex scandal building up steam, gets trounced by Trump, or 3) If Trump will successfully turn the election into a referendum on China, New York City, and Fauci.I'm more of the mind that all of those questions have been rendered moot, because the odds of there being an election at all seem vanishingly small. Trump would certainly lose a fair election, therefore his judges, his Senators, and his governors will ensure that there isn't one. Extraordinary times demand extraordinary measures.I wonder what the odds are, given their ages and the levels of exposure that they must have had, that Biden, Trump, and Bernie will all be alive come November. Maybe the biggest fight is going to be over whether Pence or Jared runs the government.
